Drive Chip & Putt Regionals

Proving that third time’s a charm, Yana Wilson advanced to the finals of the 2019 Drive Chip & Putt competition in Augusta, Ga.  She placed well in all 3 disciplines (drive, chip & putt) and was able to post a score of 136 to advance to the DCP National Finals. It was her third time in as many as years to reach DCP regional’s.

Last year I totally blew it! I was leading my regional with 1 more discipline to go, the drive. Its my favorite of the 3 skills. I hit my first ball out of bounds. The second ball I was able to get in the grid but my third just missed out of bounds as well. I am usually a straight ball hitter but I guess under pressure it got away from me. This year I  worked on routine, routine, routine. This time I felt comfortable hitting my drives and all 3 of my balls made it into the grid for a total of 50 points. You really need all the points you can get. One bad shot can cost you a chance at the finals. I am so happy I made it through and get to go to the Masters! – Yana Wilson

Well done Yana! Enjoy the DCP finals at Augusta National!
