Yana Wilson, playing in the Girls 15-18 as a eleven years old, won for the first time in this challenging age group. Fresh off of an 18 under par performance at the World Stars event at Paiute (she won by a whopping 20 strokes), Yana is proving she’s comfortable at the longer distances on this tour. Tied for the lead with Crystle Querol after day one with a 78, Yana shot another 78 to finish at 156, two ahead of Rebecca Oertel (79-79/158). Crystle finished third with rounds of 78-81/159. With this win, Yana has moved to second place in the Player of the Year race, only 90 points behind leader Rebecca.
